Information for veterinarians
To start your Galileo Pet Finder® Microchip Scanner, simply press the On/Off symbol on the rear panel and release. The display will show “Scanner Scanning” and the scanner will emit a single beep. If the scanner does not find a valid microchip within 20 seconds, the display will show “No Tag Found” and the scanner will emit a single beep again. To rescan, press the same symbol again. The Galileo Pet Finder® Microchip Scanner will automatically switch off after 50 seconds.
The outer surface of your Galileo Pet Finder® Microchip Scanner is the scanning area and therefore when a valid microchip is identified, the scanner will emit a double beep, and the microchip number will be displayed on the display.
To view previously scanned numbers, wait until the scanner has switched off. Next, press the power button on the back section for 4 seconds and release. To scroll through the list, press the power button once to view the next number. To exit this mode, press the power button for 4 seconds and release.
